Walt Disney Pictures – 2016 Movie Releases

Wow, 2015 was a great year for Walt Disney Pictures Motion Studios. How many from this list did you see and adore?

I am super excited because this year my littlest one is finally big enough and loves going to the movies. Family movie night can now take place at the theater every once in awhile and we can see the newest movies together. Awesome! Zootopia, Finding Dory and Moana are definitely on our family list, but I am thrilled about several others on the Walt Disney Studios line-up this year. Here’s the complete list, with a few sneak peaks.

First, we have The Finest Hours opening January 29, 2016. Based on a true Coast Guard rescue story in 1952 and with actors like Chris Pine and Casey Affleck, I am sure it will be great!

 

Next up is Zootopia on March 4, 2016. My kids already crack up at the commercials and previews for this one and can’t wait to see it. We’ve had a lot of fun with the Zootopia coloring sheets which I will post soon.

After Zootopia, it’s only a short wait until one I am really excited for, The Jungle Book opening April 15, 2016.  My grandpa and I used to watch this movie together, so I can’t wait to share it with my family. Trussst me, it’ssss going to be ex-ss-celent!

 

In May, the next installment from the Captain America series: Civil War comes out. I always enjoy a good super hero movie!

If that wasn’t enough for May, Alice Through the Looking Glass debuts as well.

 

Summer hits bring Finding Dory in June, The BFG (love Roald Dahl) in July and Pete’s Dragon in August.

 

As we head into the cooler weather and holiday season I know everyone will be eagerly awaiting the next Star Wars installment, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but there are several other great flicks to catch and help excitingly pass the time. Queen of Katwe, Marvel’s Doctor Strange and Moana.

 

This year looks to be just as exciting as the last! What are you most looking forward to?
