Disney Drink Of The Day: Welsh Dragon – Epcot Series

April 17, 2015 By //  by Lauren 1 Comment

Epcot’s Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room will always have a special place in my heart. It was our first Disney table-service meal as a married couple and has since been our dining choice for many anniversaries and special occasions, including the Epcot After-Hours Wind Down experience we had last year. ( I really hope they bring that back.) I love the quaint coziness of the dining room, the magnificent bar and the gorgeous waterfront views of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. When enjoying a special evening out for our 5th anniversary last fall, I ordered this Disney Drink Of The Day concoction and was rather blown away by the punch it offers. I thought it’d be more fruity than strong, but it definitely tasted a little more fierce than I was expecting. Perhaps that’s why it’s called a Welsh Dragon. I’ll have to consult my favorite Brit, Jane, who happens to also be a Walt Disney World expert.

This lime-green treat is a combination of:

Peach Schnapps

Melon Liqueur

Creme de Menthe

Orange Juice

Pineapple Juice

The Rose & Crown Dining Room & Pub also offers an array of beer choices and delights like the English Rose. Their food choices are also amazing! I can’t wait to return soon.

Cheers!

The Welsh Dragon is quite a wild concoction isn’t it and I guess it’s that fabulous lime green colour because the Welsh national flag depicts a red dragon on a green and white background; the dragon is Wales national emblem too. =)
