English Rose - Epcot Drinks Around the World

Disney Drink of the Day: English Rose

February 5, 2015 By //  by Lauren 1 Comment

A couple of weeks ago, my Disney Drink of the Day post was about one of my favorite Epcot World Showcase drinks: the Viking Coffee from Norway.  That post got me thinking and trying to narrow down a favorite specialty drink for each country. It’s going to be a tough challenge since there are so many delicious concoctions to choose from, but I figured I would at least try and maybe I can even gather a few friends to help. Seriously, if you want to share your favorite, please let me know.

To start off my Epcot World Showcase Disney Drink of the Day Series (that’s a mouthful,) I chose my favorite drink from the United Kingdom Pavilion: the English Rose. (Pictured here in a souvenir mug.) This fruity beverage has quite a kick with its combination of Beefeater Gin, Apricot Brandy, Sweet Vermouth, and Pineapple, Orange and Cranberry juices. I love this cocktail and like to pair it with the Apple and Frisee Salad or the United Kingdom Cheese Platter from the Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room.

Also, if you time your trip to this location just right, you can sit outside, right on the waters edge and catch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from a perfect spot.

Just thinking of this treat reminds me of my dear friend and fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Jane. Someday soon, I hope to enjoy another jolly holiday with her at the Walt Disney World Resort, where we can toast to this tasty delight together!

Would you have chosen another British delight? Have you tried this one? I’d love to hear your feedback as well as which country/drink I should do next.

Cheers, friends!

Lauren
