Frosty Pineapple Tropical Serenade Sangria

Frosty Pineapple Tropical Serenade Sangria – Disney Drink of the Day

August 16, 2019 By //  by Lauren Leave a Comment

Wow, while my love for travel and Disney cocktails has not faltered, it’s been quite awhile since I shared a Disney Drink of the Day post. I hope you enjoy it!

Last year, my mom and I took a solo mother/daughter trip leaving the kiddos and husbands behind. It was amazing! Don’t get me wrong, I love family vacations, but the girls trip to Disney has such a different dynamic. (Thanks for being awesome, Mom!)

After doing the Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour, we scheduled lunch at the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. I like that alcohol isn’t readily available throughout Magic Kingdom, but I was excited to have a refreshing cocktail tucked away in the middle of the park.

Side Note: The Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour is amazing! I’ll be sharing about it in another post soon, but definitely recommend it. Super informational, enjoyable and affordable. Plus we had the best guide ever!

But, back to lunch. The decor of the restaurant is Disney story-telling art and what looks small from the outside opens up to a huge labyrinth of a restaurant. We sat in the library.

I ordered the Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas as my entree and the Jungle Navigation Co. Shandy to go with it and I’ll share those in another post. Spoiler Alert: They were both delicious and those cachapas might be one of my new favorite meals.

My mom ordered the Sankuru Sadie’s Seafood Stew and the Frosty Pineapple Tropical Serenade Sangria.

The stew was tasty. I liked the broth better than all the things in it, but she really enjoyed the whole thing. It was a bit heavy and very filling, but you’d expect that with a stew.

The drink was a refreshing pair–allowing the citrus to cut the heaviness of the stew. It tasted amazing, but as a combination of Prosecco with pineapple and apple flavors, what’s not to love?

Overall, we really enjoyed the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen and highly recommend it for a Magic Kingdom lunch break. If you are worried about picky eaters, they have a kids mac & cheese or fried chicken. Be ready for corny jokes and a little adventure though!
