
More than likely, you’ve clinked glasses toasting the New Year and celebrated the memories and special moments of 2014. It’s not just about the fireworks, the ball drop and kisses at midnight. It is a holiday filled with love, laughter and tears, thinking about all of those in our lives who have helped us through another year. Good or bad, it’s a time for reflection and excitement as we look forward to our new adventure: the next 365 days.
With Champagne fresh on the brain, I thought today’s Disney Drink of the Day post should include just that. One of our favorite moments of 2014 was our Disney “Land and Sea Adventure” with family and friends, last February. Almost 30 of us enjoyed the magic together at Walt Disney World Resort and aboard the Disney Dream. What better way to celebrate the beginning of another year than with a special drink available at Remy – an upscale, adult only restaurant located on the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy, Disney Cruise Line ships. The Colette is a Champagne and pear-infused vodka cocktail complete with blueberry, apricot and mint for just the right effervescence and taste. A few years back, the Disney Parks Blog shared the recipe with readers and since then, it’s been a favorite. I imagine myself sitting in this exact spot, savoring every sip as I reflect on the magical moments of our Disney Cruise vacation, or in this case — the moments of 2014. Colette Recipe:
1 whole blueberry
1 mint leaf
1 piece dried apricot
5 oz. Champagne
1 oz. pear-infused vodka
In a Champagne cup, place blueberry and mint leaf. Add Champagne and pear-infused vodka. Drop in dried apricot and voila!
