Phew! Now that I can take a step back from frantically trying to put all the pieces together to make it work, I can now officially announce (or scream at the top of my lungs)…we are headed back to Walt Disney World Resort for the 2016 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.
For those of you who haven’t heard, this is a very special event hosted by Disney Parks for the last several years. The invite-only event has become one of, if not the most coveted event in the industry due to the incredible speakers, events, inspiration and of course the Pixie-Dust that is included with it. Social Media starts buzzing immediately the magical emails start fluttering into inboxes and many bloggers, vloggers, and top influencers start wishing upon stars to be “the chosen one.”
Disney puns aside, the celebration is a great way for Disney and other top brands to share their newest announcements and innovations through those who eagerly promote it to a larger audience through social media. Along with news and information, true Disney magic is shared in means of creativity, inspiration and purpose all from practically-perfectly chosen speakers and leaders. The entire event pushes each attendee to become more inspired, more creative and to “keep moving forward.” On top of all this, it’s Disney after all and well, I believe Walt himself would want a conference that families could enjoy together. True to his first concept of Disneyland, the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is one of the only family-friendly conferences with family activities and events planned throughout the entire weekend.
We were beyond grateful to be invited last year and filled with even more gratitude for a second opportunity. I am going to spend the next month getting ready and setting several goals for myself. I want to ensure no moment is wasted and I learn and pass on to my followers as much as I can.
