3 Reasons You Should Follow The #DisneySMMC Hashtag This Week

Today is the beginning of a very special event: the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration! Once a year this inspiring event takes place and bloggers, vloggers, influencers and the like share the latest in news from Disney Parks and their partners.

While I was blessed to attend the last two years, this year I’ll be following along online. As an attendee I was able to learn, grow, network and of course have fun, but I think it’s just as important to follow along. Here are 3 reasons why you should also be following the #DisneySMMC hashtag this week.

1. Disney News & Updates

Do you love all things Disney? Do people tag you on Disney posts frequently or buy you Disney-themed presents on special occasions? If you can answer yes to all or some of these, than you’ll love the updates and behind the scenes sneak peeks from the #DisneySMMC attendees.

Last year offered a special screening of a new Disney movie, information and a full walk-through on the latest at Disney Springs, an in-depth tour of all things Star Wars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the latest on Disney’s Animal Kingdom Rivers of Light, special glimpses at new series coming to Disney Junior, the latest from the Disney Parks Blog and so much more. With this year being a land & sea event, there is guaranteed to be information from Disney Cruise Line and the newly updated Disney Wonder included too!

2. Travel Tips From Those Attending

Families aren’t only encouraged to attend together, but there are special opportunities and plenty of time given for adventuring together. This is one of the best times to catch ideas and helpful hints for traveling to Walt Disney World Resort and now, on Disney Cruise Line with your family. From little ones to adult children, I’ve seen all family dynamics attend and share their favorites, tips and ideas. See something you think your family might like? 3. A Cure For The Disney Blues

I love seeing friends having a magical time at my favorite place. The attendees are social media superstars used to taking high-quality photos and sharing their journey with their followers. It’s fun to “tag along” and join them on the rides and attractions, sit down to a special meal, or even watch fireworks “together” at the end of the night. Watching the faces of their little ones reminds me of the joy my own kids feel at Disney and I can’t help but smile. Besides, it’s a nice contrast to some of the stress and negativity currently found in my feeds.

While I’ll miss seeing and hugging all my friends and favorite characters in person, I can’t wait to follow along with their fun and comment, like, double-tab, share, retweet… you name it, as many posts as I can!
