If you’re like much of the country, it’s been a rainy few days. My kiddos love playing outside, but on days like these, we have to find a way to spend that energy and inspire the creativity indoors. That’s when their Antsy Pants play sets come in handy. We’ve partnered with the brand again and received a new cover, to share why their sets make a great addition to your child’s playroom supplies.
Taking Play Time Up A Notch
Summer will be here before we know it! I absolutely adore having my kiddos home, but I know before too long I’ll be hearing those dreaded two words every parent hears all summer long, “I’m bored!” Growing up I remember my grandma always telling me that only boring people are bored, so I use that line often on them. It doesn’t work. Usually, it just means they need help coming up with an idea or two and a quick snack and trip outside are most often the best cure. On rainy days it’s a little harder. We play board games, work in our summer activity books, play with blocks and have the occasional screen time, but I’m always looking for more ways to inspire their creativity.
Why We Still Adore The Antsy Pants Play Sets
One of the best parts of these play sets is that before the kiddos can start playing, they have to create. The pieces are color-coded and the directions are fairly simple to read and understand. While my children need a little help snapping together some of the pieces or reaching the top pieces, they can mostly do it themselves. They work together and problem-solve before they begin playing–total win! Once they are done building, the play begins! Each Antsy Pants play set offers a special theme to get those creative juices flowing.
One Set, Many Options
We received the Scout’s Camping TeePee Tent cover, which is exclusive to Target, this time and they both adored it. It has pockets, a window, curtain ties and is tall enough for them to stand in. We were able to build the play set we already had and simply create a new shape for a new cover. Once you invest in the set, you can reuse it with multiple covers saving you money over time.
The Antsy Pants play sets have been a great addition to our toy closet, especially on these rainy days. The kids really do enjoy playing pretend in and around their forts. I love listening to them getting along and not hearing “I’m bored” every 5-minutes.
