Disney Drink Of The Day: Lake Squall – The BOATHOUSE Restaurant

 

Fortunately, or unfortunately, my mom happens to be as big of, or almost as big of a Disney fan as I am. Really, it goes both ways because she truly understands my passion and is always willing to go on a Disney adventure, but unfortunately, being retired and with no kids in the house, she often goes when I can’t. Luckily, she sends lots of pictures of their trips and even brings home a few souvenirs to ease my “Disney blues.” This Disney Drink Of The Day was enjoyed by her just a couple of weeks ago and while I loved the photo and description, I really adored that she brought the glass home for me. Thanks, Mom!

The Lake Squall, found at The BOATHOUSE restaurant in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney,) is listed on their specialty cocktails menu and consists of Bacardi, Bacardi Select, Sweet & Sour, Passion Fruit, Grenadine and Orange Juice. As you can see, it’s a little sweet, but has great flavor and a definite punch from the dueling Bacardi rums. While the food is pricey, it’s delicious and well worth at least one visit to check the place out for yourself. If you like raw oysters, you must try theirs, as I have been told they are very fresh and tasty. Enjoy your meal at one of the water-front tables which offers a beautiful view and a great place to sit and people watch. You can also get a good look at the vintage Amphicars floating by.
