Disney Drink Of The Day: Goombay Smash

The Goombay Smash is a rum based beverage which originated in The Bahamas, so, it was perfect for me to come across this delicious “Disney Drink Of The Day” while staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and enjoying some evening drinks at the Banana Cabana Pool Bar.  I had tried most of the drinks on the Standard Pool Bar Menu and asked the bartender if she had something else up her sleeve that had been a previous favorite.  She smiled in excitement and told me, “I have an oldie, but a goodie, I think you’ll enjoy.”  She came back with this tasty concoction and I was pleasantly surprised.  It was delicious!  Although you have to ask for it specifically now, it is still a “Disney Drink Of The Day” to me since that is where I was first introduced to it.  Next time you’re “home” ask for one and let me know what you think!  As a side note, the Banana Cabana is one of my favorites to sit at and enjoy an adult beverage. Goombay Smash Recipe:

1 oz spiced rum

1 oz coconut rum

1/4 oz apricot brandy

2 oz pineapple juice

2 oz orange juice
