Cabins In Colorado: Mueller State Park

Looking for a mountain escape? Somewhere perfect for a romantic weekend or to bring the extended family? A place that you could call the quintessential Colorado vacation? Take a look at these cabins in Colorado’s Mueller State Park and you may just find your new favorite get-away!

Every year my husband says that he doesn’t want anything for his birthday. He doesn’t like the fuss of a party, we don’t really do big presents for each other, and all he asks for is some quality family time. This year, I took the request for quality family time a little further and planned a weekend away in the Colorado mountains. I knew I wanted something a little rustic, something Colorado-y. Somewhere that felt secluded, not too far from home, affordable and with a beautiful surrounding. I was looking for the perfect cabins in Colorado.

Mueller State Park Cabins

The cabins in Mueller State Park sounded awesome, but I struggled to find many photos or reviews. A little nervously, I chose to book the Spruce Cabin. With 3 bedrooms, it can sleep six and has plenty of room to enjoy.

What To Know

I’ll let the photos do the talking for just how gorgeous the place is, but I did want to point out a few things. The towels and linens are provided, as is almost everything you’ll need in the kitchen–including a blender so bring the margarita mix! Also, the cabin was extremely clean and well kept.

There are no televisions, no Wifi and our cell phone service was spotty at best, so make sure you bring fun along. It was AMAZING to unplug!! We brought coloring supplies, Legos, puzzles, family games, a deck of cards and my laptop with just a couple family movies downloaded to watch together. We also brought sleds and our winter gear to take advantage of the great sledding. In the summer, bring your hiking gear as there are so many trails throughout the park!

Other Options

The Mueller State Park cabins in Colorado are truly incredible. Along with the Spruce Cabin, they have a larger Ponderosa Cabin that sleeps up to 8 and a smaller Pine Cabin that sleeps 4.
