Forget Socks and Ties, Give Dad What He Really Wants This Year…

June 14, 2020 By //  by Lauren Leave a Comment

The gift of a Colorado ADVENTURE!

2020 has been crazy, right? This year more than most, we need a fresh air escape. While we are still taking precautions and staying safe, there are plenty of ways to follow the state guidelines and still have fun. Check out a few of our favorite locations to give Dad the gift of a Colorado adventure!

Colorado Cabins

Colorado cabins make for a great year-round adventure. There are so many to choose from all over Colorado, but these we have had the pleasure of visiting a couple of times and come highly recommended. They are also a perfect retreat given the current situation as each offer no-contact check in, plenty of open space and the perfect place for the family.

Camping

Perhaps Dad is more into a tent or RV adventure instead of a cabin retreat. Again, there are camping spots galore! From paid spaces to dispersed camping, to private and BLM land–you can find the perfect spot for everyone. These are our favorite areas to visit:

There’s also dispersed camping and excellent BLM spots all over the state, just make sure you know where camping is allowed and what the current restrictions are.

Making a Reservation

Summer can book quickly, especially with Colorado Parks & Wildlife now requiring reservations for all its managed spaces. With a little bit of research and an open mind it is still possible to find great areas even heading up on a Friday. Also, consider booking later in the season so Dad will have something to look forward to.

Let me know if you give Dad the gift of a Colorado adventure this year and have fun on your Dad-venture!
