The kids are almost out of school and while I can’t wait to have them home during the days, I also like to plan a little family fun for when those “I’m bored” moments start setting in. 1. Check Out The Summer Camp-In Themed Rooms

My family loves camping, but not everyone does. Even those that do like the option of a comfy bed and running water every once in awhile. The specially themed Great Wolf Lodge Summer Camp-In rooms offer the perfect family setting. Relive those camp memories with decorations, camp-themed pillows and a kids tent with glowing campfire. I don’t know about you, but that tent looked like the perfect place to pull out a book and relax.

2. What’s Camping Without The Activities?

Summer camp wasn’t just about sleeping under the stars, but also about camp activities! Great Wolf Lodge has a Kid’s Experience Manager (yep, that’s a real title) who gets to be “Head Counselor” and create all the summer fun. Bean-bag toss, arts & crafts, nightly campfires with s’mores, story time and dance parties will all be part of the adventure. You’ll also find new fun at the water park in the form of a pool party! Games will include a rubber duck race (you get to decorate your own duck,) limbo, dancing and more.

Along with the poolside fun, campers can sign up for the Trailblazer Challenge. You can earn badges for completing select activities and with 10 badges earn the bragging rights title of Trailblazer!

3. Summer Camp-In Food

Now, all those summer camp activities are definitely going to work up an appetite. Don’t worry, Great Wolf Lodge has come up with a feast served hot off the grill. You’ll find the quintessential taste of summer, BBQ and all the fixin’s served at the resort’s main restaurant.

You’ll want to make sure you save room for dessert! Who could turn in without an ooey-gooey s’more from the campfire? These aren’t your typical s’mores either. You’ll have a range of choices to create your perfect treat.

In the morning, the bugle call will begin a special Character Breakfast where you can dine and meet your favorite woodland friends. Camp songs, dances and activities will get those stomachs grumbling and the day started.

4. No Need To Worry About The Weather

Another thing that makes this adventure great is you don’t have to plan it around the weather. Rain or shine, hot or cold, you’ll find all the Summer Camp-In fun at your Great Wolf Lodge Resort.
