2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Review

February 18, 2019 By //  by Lauren Leave a Comment

I have had the chance to test drive and review the Mitsubishi Outlander since the 2016 model. In 2016, I was impressed by the redesign, but felt it missed a little. 2017 brought a few more changes, yet I still thought the car wasn’t up to par with competitors in the same class. Last year, I was generally impressed with how far the 2018 Outlander had come and loved certain features. Did 2019 follow the same trend?

The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander SE

One thing that we have always been impressed on is how beautiful the design is on the outside. The Mitsubishi Outlander is a gorgeous car. With the 2019 model, I felt that they definitely carried a lot of the cosmetic elements from the outside to the inside.

Starting with the drivers and passengers seat. The fabric and stitch details are awesome and the seats are really comfortable. As the driver, I felt much more in control. The field of vision is great. I felt like I sat up higher, but perhaps it was just posture because the seats are so comfortable.

Another thing I really liked was the handling. This car had a great turning radius. I also had a chance to drive on Colorado snowy and icy streets and it did great! It is a little slow on the “go” due to the 2.4-liter four-cylinder, but the ride is much smoother and quieter than before.

Overall:

This is definitely my favorite model year thus far. It seems like Mitsubishi is really trying to listen to what people want and adapt a little each year. I’m still impressed my the number of standard features and the starting price of the Mitsubishi Outlander. If you’re looking for lots of features with a small price tag, this is the car for you.
