Last year, my mom and I took a very special mother-daughter trip to Disneyland for the 60th celebration. It held many #DisneyFirst experiences for both of us. It was the first time I had been away from my family, the first time my mom and I had visited a Disney Park just the two of us, the first mother-daughter trip since I became an adult, the first Disney Parks special event either of us had ever attended and even a few more.
The trip was also special because we lost someone incredibly important to both of us not long before it. She was with us every moment of our adventure. Just last week, my mom was at Walt Disney World and noticed this drink on the menu of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs, The Landing. It was a perfect nod to a wonderful woman who loved Disney (and cocktails) almost, if not as much as both of us. My mom always sends me pictures of her Disney libations while on vacation, happy to help, “In the name of research,” as she puts it, but this one is an extra special addition to the Disney Drink Of The Day list.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar looks like a 1940s airplane hangar was transformed into a dive bar. Those familiar with Raiders of the Lost Ark, know of Indy’s pilot Jock Lindsey and his pet snake Reggie. For the fun backstory on how he ended up in Disney Springs and created the location check out the details found under the description on waltdisneyworld.com.
Reggie’s Revenge combines Florida Cane ‘Orlando Orange’ Vodka, Midori Melon Liqueur, White Cranberry Juice and Fresh Lime Juice. With these ingredients, you can see it’s fresh, fruity, full of citrus and a tad bit sour. I was told it was very delicious! Yum!
Cheers to you, your own #DisneyFirst adventures and those little magical touches that make your Disney Parks adventures extra special.
