Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort still remains one of my top Disney resorts. I adore the look and feel of the resort, the rooms and the wonderful dining options. The resort also offered its own cocktail menu which was a welcome change from the Standard Pool Bar Menu. Don’t get me wrong, I love many of the concoctions available on the Standard Pool Bar Menu, but I think it’s great that Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort also offers a few signature cocktails to give you a more unique experience. I really enjoyed stopping at the Laguna Bar, after check-in, and finding the delicious Laguna Azul to help celebrate our arrival. It definitely helped set the mood for this enchanting resort much like another favorite Disney Drink Of The Day with a little more tropical flare, the Sangria Brisa.
With so many new choices it was hard to narrow down which to order, so with the bartender’s recommendation I went with this refreshing treat. The Sangria Brisa is a bright combination of coconut rum, chardonnay, mango, passion fruit, pineapple and orange juice. I happened to enjoy it in the evening, but it could definitely be used as a more vivid replacement to the standard mimosa. It has the same light and fruity qualities with just a splash of the tropics.
Our stay was lovely and the resort really did climb the list to one of our favorites. Although it is a very big resort, we found that quality added to the romance. Our location in Casitas building 4 was wonderful. We weren’t too far of a walk to anywhere we wanted to go and we happened to be right near bus stop 2 which, contrary to its name, was the first bus pick-up and drop-off for the resort. We never had any transportation issues. I really wish I had visited the resort prior to Disney closing the moderate resort marinas because I am sure that amenity would have really added more to the ambiance of the Laguna Bar and the rest of the resort. Otherwise, the property and our stay was lovely. As a parent, one of my favorite qualities was the double doors separating the bathroom area from the room rather than the standard curtain available in most of the other moderate resorts.
I’d love to hear your own experiences at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Is there a better section to request? Do you have an experience with the marina you can share or about the resort in general? Please comment and let me know!
Cheers!
