2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Review

October 15, 2020 By //  by Lauren Leave a Comment

Summer vacations and travel plans were definitely a little different this year. Instead of flying to favorite family destinations, most families decided to stay a little closer to home and road trips became the preferred method of transportation to get away.

So, whether you are looking to upgrade your current ride, or to find the perfect rental for your next trip, here’s my thoughts of the family friendly (and fuel friendly) 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review.

The full redesign of the 2020 Toyota Highlander really makes this car a beauty on the inside and out. The sleek, stylish lines give the outside a superior look and the inside an upscale feel. The model definitely looks and feels luxurious.

The highlander offers 3rd-row seating the model we drove had a huge sunroof to enjoy the Colorado sunshine. It also boasted a large, user-friendly infotainment system and captain’s chairs in the middle row.

Safety

Along with looks the 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid rates high in both safety and predictability. Standard safety features include, but are not limited to: Cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, traction control and blind spot monitoring.

Handling & Fuel

Even though it is a hybrid SUV, the 2020 Toyota Highlander offers get up and go from the hybrid powertrain. It also rides comfortably and quietly. But, is the hybrid worth it? I’d definitely say yes! The 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid averages that of a sedan getting around 35 mpg in the city and 36 mpg highway. It is as practical and efficient as you would expect a 3-row family SUV to be and saves you money at the pump without compromising the expected.
