If there is one thing I have learned in the past almost year of blogging it’s that there is a lot to learn! I have reached out to friends, forged partnerships, read as many articles as I could, attended a few conferences and followed along with others and no matter what, there is always so much more to understand. It’s incredible, fascinating and overwhelming all at once. Another thing I have learned is that connecting with others, networking and building relationships with people and brands is also extremely important. Although it is possible to do this at home through social networks, emails and good ol’ fashioned phone calls, the best place to learn, grow and network is at blogging conferences. I attended my first one, a Disney Social Media Moms On-The-Road Celebrations, and was blown away by how much could be taught and retained in a half-day session. Months later, I am still amazed (and extremely grateful) for the knowledge and relationships I gained through this event. After that experience, I began looking for other conferences and attended a few locally, but was really drawn to the reputation and positively amazing reviews of the Type-A Parent Conference and Boot Camp Series. (Seriously, it’s the world’s top blogging conference!)
I desperately tried to attend this year, but well, it just wasn’t in my non-existent blogging budget. I still learned a ton by following along at home and reading reviews, but I definitely missed the opportunity to be there learning first hand and interacting with the amazing attendees and sponsors. My new goal is to make it next year, and you can help! If you were already planning to go, or if I have encouraged you to attend, you can sign up through my affiliate link and help me earn my way. The best part is that the Type-A Parent Black Friday Sale is just around the corner (literally, in days) and you too can save a lot of money on your pass.
