Just recently Motherhood and Beyond began a partnership with Kneaders Bakery & Cafe, so last night I had the pleasure of attending the VIP pre-opening event for the brand new store in northern Colorado Springs. The Grand Opening is today, so I wanted to share with you my experience and what you can expect. Also, Kneaders Bakery & Cafe has been generous enough to offer our readers a chance to win a $25 gift card. Find out at the bottom of this post how to enter to win.
My mom is always up for a “food adventure” so I knew she’d enjoy joining me and it happened to be both of our first times to a Kneaders Bakery & Cafe. One step inside the door and we were quickly “oohing” and “ahhing” at the adorable decor and warm, welcoming displays.
I just happen to sew fun and flirty aprons, so these instantly caught my eye along with some adorable signs I’d love to hang in my house. Great news! Most of their decor items are also for sale.
As you enter the line there are gigantic cases filled with freshly made treats and pastries. Although Kneaders is a chain restaurant, you get an overwhelming “neighborhood bakery” feel as your eyes peruse the cases and smiling faces await to assist you.
I ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado on Focaccia sandwich with a cup of Tomato-Basil Ravioli soup, while my mom ordered the Turkey Cranberry Sunflower Salad with a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. Seriously, it was all delicious. The sandwich was by far my favorite. Whatever secret ingredients are in the Kneaders sauce are incredible. It was fresh, creamy, zesty and the focaccia was perfectly airy and soft. My second favorite had to be the chicken noodle soup. It’s warm richness made it the perfect comfort soup and while I wasn’t really in the mood for salad, the sweet poppyseed dressing was divine.
For dessert we indulged on a double fudge brownie and a citrus canoli. The brownie was chocolate heaven. Perfectly rich and moist, topped with a creamy chocolate icing. As you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I had an idea of what to expect from reading the online menu, but I really didn’t think it would taste quite so homemade and wonderful.
Beyond the great food and high quality service, there are several other things that make Kneaders Bakery & Cafe so special. Top on my Mom list: they have a drive thru. Often I want to stop and grab dinner, but want a fresher option than “fast food” without having to get the kids out of the car and back in. Problem solved. They also offer their soups and salads by the gallon to go, so you can feed a few or a lot with a quick and fresh meal. Another important thing to me for my family is that they use natural ingredients. No preservatives or artificial chemicals.
You should really experience Kneaders Bakery & Cafe for yourself, so we are giving away a $25 gift card to one lucky reader. Enter below and good luck!!
