Spring is here! Hooray! While it’s nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors again, often times spring can be overwhelming because we spread ourselves thin with too much and too many commitments. These are our top 5 time savers for spring and how we keep to them with the help of JORD wood watches. One lucky reader will even win one of these incredible time-pieces. Keep reading to find out how!
I was given a JORD Wood Watch in exchange for this post and honest review. For more information, please visit our disclosures page.
1. De-clutter
Mention spring, and the first word that comes to my mind is cleaning. Spring Break is always when we deep-clean the kids rooms and really begin to clean, de-clutter and organize the rest of the house. While we’re blessed to have many sunshine-filled days all year long in Colorado, the sound of birds chirping and sight of nature blooming leaves you want to open the windows and make the house fresher and brighter. Why stop at the house? Spring is is also a great time to de-clutter your day along with your space and the rest of these steps will help you schedule and manage just that.
2. Prepare
Benjamin Franklin once said, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” While the words may sound very boy scout-esque. They’re true! With even a little extra preparation, it’s incredible how less stressed and hurried you can feel.
3. Plan
I’m not one to stick to rigid schedules, but I do feel much more confident and calm when there is at least a general plan in place. Take time to sit down and look at your monthly calendar. Schedule your meals and shopping ahead for the week. Make sure you write or schedule in all appointments and prior commitments so that you don’t double book and have plenty of time in between. Plan a little extra time into each activity and keep a look at the clock to make sure you’re running on schedule.
While our phones are often convenient to glance and check the time, having a nice watch is extremely underrated. JORD wood watches (like the one featured in these photos) are not only extremely fashionable, they are also a great way to stay on schedule.
4. Prioritize
You aren’t going to have time for everything, and you’ll drive yourself crazy trying, so prioritize. It’s easy to “overbook” yourself sometimes and end up feeling stressed and hurried at activities or commitments you looked forward to enjoying. Pick and choose for yourself and your family which items are most important and which will have the biggest reward.
5. Play
Make time for yourself and for your loved ones. All the preparing, planning and prioritizing in the world won’t matter much if you don’t leave time to have fun! Do something special, have a dance-off, go to the park. The possibilities are endless and the fun should be too.
JORD Wood Watches
As I said above, it’s easy to rely on our phones as a way to keep time, but having a watch is still my favorite reminder to stay on track and keep to a schedule. Choosing a statement piece can also make you feel more confident–an important key to success, much like preparation. The natural wood and striking faces of the JORD wood watches and especially the Conway series are fashionable and functional and will help you stay on time this spring.
This particular watch is available online at JORDwatches.com, but there are also several other striking men’s and women’s styles.
