It’s finally October! Hooray! While I know many of you probably wish the sun and warmth would stay around for just a little longer, I love fall. I love the colors, the crisp air, fuzzy sweaters and cute boots. I simply adore autumn! This year along with my boots and sweater, I’ll be packing another essential for our first fall family trip…my swimsuit! Yes, it may seem a bit odd to be thinking about swimsuits in October, especially in Colorado, but this adventure howls for Halloween fun in a not so usual wet and wild way!
Stay tuned to Motherhood & Beyond and make sure you’re following all of our social channels (especially our Instagram Stories) as we’ve partnered with Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs, to showcase what makes October the perfect time to visit. Hint: It’s HOWL-0-ween! We’ve shared our favorite reasons to visit the resort before, but this trip combines all of that with special activities to celebrate Halloween.
This time of year, in addition to the normal family fun, Guests are encouraged to bring their costumes and take part in the special holiday festivities. Costume parades, a Trick-or-Treat Trail, silly-scary story time, Monster Bash Dance Parties, craft time and more. Great Wolf Lodge vacations always bring so many fun, family moments, I can’t wait make some boo-tiful fall memories, too. My little ghouls are looking forward to our stay and the first chance to break in their costumes.
Can’t wait for the fun and want to check it out for yourself? Visit Great Wolf Lodge- Colorado Springs online to read all about Howl-o-ween or even to book your own stay!

Do you have to rent a room to use the water park?
Lauren
Hi Elizabeth! It used to be that you had to book an overnight room at Great Wolf Lodge to use the water park, but now you do have the option of buying a day pass for a visit!
