Why Rice Krispie Pops Are the Perfect Valentine Treat

When it comes to classroom treats, there are a few non-negotiables. They need to be quick, kid-approved, and easy to transport. These Rice Krispie pops check all the boxes.

They are sweet without being over the top, festive without being complicated, and easy for little hands to hold thanks to the paper straw. They also work well for busy moms who need something cute that does not involve staying up late the night before.

If you are looking for easy and cute Valentine treats for school, this is one recipe you will want to save.

Ingredients for Valentine Rice Krispie Pops

You only need a handful of items, most of which you can grab at the grocery store or already have on hand.

  • Rice Krispie Treats
  • Frosting
  • Valentine sprinkles
  • Straws or Sticks
  • Individual serving bags & Ribbon (Optional)

That is it. No measuring cups and no oven required.

How to Make Valentine Rice Krispie Pops

Start by placing the frosting in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds until it is smooth and easy to dip.

Next, gently poke the straw or stick into each Rice Krispie treat. This instantly turns them into pops and makes them perfect for classroom parties or gift bags.

Dip each Rice Krispie treat into the melted frosting, covering the top or half of the treat depending on your preference. While the frosting is still warm, add sprinkles so they stick.

Set the pops aside on parchment paper and allow the frosting to set before packaging or serving.

That is all there is to it.

Tips for Making These Valentine Treats Even Easier

If you are short on time, use pre-packaged Rice Krispie treats and store-bought frosting to keep things simple. You can also switch up the sprinkles to match school colors or party themes.

These Valentine Rice Krispie pops can be made the night before and stored in an airtight container, making them perfect for early morning school drop-offs.
