Disney’s Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts are some of my favorite Disney Deluxe accommodations. Not only do they have an incredible pool area my kids prefer over the parks some days, they are only a short stroll into Epcot’s World Showcase and we can easily get to a family favorite: Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. Combine my love for ice cream and milkshakes with my adoration for indulging in an occasional adult treat and perfection: I introduce the adult hard floats and shakes found at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.
Last trip I tried one of these delightful concoctions, the S’mores Shake, and it was delicious. Maybe a little sweet and heavy for sipping while sitting at the pool, but a perfect treat if you are taking a break or grabbing a bite to eat. The S’mores Shake is a combination of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, Amarula Cream Liqueur and Creme de Dark Cacao all topped with marshmallows, graham cracker and chocolate. When I ordered the S’mores Shake I asked the Cast Member working if it was one he liked and he excitedly nodded. He then recommended I try it with cookies & cream ice cream instead of the chocolate and vanilla and it was superb!
(They forgot to make the change on the first, so they made me two! Talk about extra Pixie Dust!)
If you haven’t made your way to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop on your Walt Disney World Resort visits, I highly recommend it. Along with the delicious desserts, they have great food. The Seafood Salad sandwich was tasty and their onion rings are scrumptious, but if there is one thing to make this location a destination it’s the Kitchen Sink Sundae! Has your family tried to tackle the beast?
Cheers!
