Disney Drink Of The Day: Key Lime Cooler

Okay, I know I am going to get a lot of grief for this, but I am not really a Dole Whip fan. **Hides under computer desk.** I know! It is almost Disney sacrilege to make such a bold statement, but it just isn’t one of my favorites. That being said, this alternative, the Key Lime Cooler, or the non-alcoholic version, the Key Lime Whip, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is super creamy and reminds me much of a tasty slice of Key Lime Pie.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has always been one of my family’s favorite resorts. I have fond memories of swimming in the pool with my Aunt and Uncle and riding the monorail to and from Magic Kingdom Park on a stay in the early 90s. With its iconic red and white exterior, gorgeous views and exquisite dining options, it is easy to see why the resort is a favorite among many. There are so many qualities to love about this stunning hotel, but we really adore the resort pools and that is where this Disney Drink Of The Day can be found. The Key Lime Cooler is a frozen blend of Skyy Citrus Vodka, Key Lime Juice and Vanilla Ice Cream. It separates fairly quickly, melting in the Florida sun, so beware of brain freeze–you may want to drink this one quickly. Grab a drink, dig your toes into the white sandy beach and watch the sunset followed by the exciting Electrical Water Pageant (another family favorite.)
