Disney Drink Of The Day: Hippopotomai-tai – Disneyland Edition

In honor of our trip last weekend to celebrate Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, I thought it would be fitting to focus this week’s Disney Drink Of The Day on a Disneyland favorite. It’s hard to believe it was already a week ago that my mom and I were headed to the Happiest Place On Earth. The first evening we visited a Guest favorite: Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. You’ll know you are near when you start seeing tiki torches and lush landscaping. Inside the tiki bar it’s very cozy and intimate as sounds of the jungle surround you. The “windows” offer gorgeous island views, but be careful not to anger the tiki gods or the volcanoes may erupt.

Trader Sam has created a boatload of delicious concoctions making it hard to choose, but we ordered the Hippopotomai-tai, because well, it’s really fun to say! This tasty treat is also available in a souvenir glass and I am a sucker for souvenir cups. The drink is a combination of the ingredients listed below and was truly scrumptious.
