Disney Drink of the Day: Harambe Cooler

Jambo friends! On our last Walt Disney World Resort vacation, it was pretty easy to get my mom to help me out with my Disney Drink of the Day mission.  I loved the extra help because when stopping by favorites, like the Dawa Bar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, we could order a couple of their Signature Drinks. This visit, I went straight for the elusive Safari Amber while my mom ordered the refreshing Harambe Cooler.  This tantalizing treat is a mix of Starr African Rum, Myer’s Original Dark Rum and Pangani Punch (a combination of pineapple, orange, strawberry and cranberry juices.) The rums definitely add a kick to this otherwise light and refreshing beverage.  If you aren’t a fan of dark rum, they also offer a very similar drink called Lost on Safari. This scrumptious concoction contains Captain Morgan’s Original Spiced Rum, Pink Pigeon Mauritian Rum and Pangani Punch.  Although I adore Starr African Rum, I sometimes choose this option because it doesn’t have quite the same flavor profile.  Although they have incredibly adorable souvenir mugs and I think everyone needs to have at least one, this time we opted for just a regular cup to save the few extra bucks. (Always looking for ways to save money on our vacations!) Either selection is divine and a perfect way to enjoy your trip to “Africa.”
