3 Reasons To Book The Drury Inn & Suites For Your Valentine’s Day or Romantic Escape

Well, Punxsutawney Phil is predicting six more weeks of winter, but things are definitely heating up because there’s less than two weeks before Valentine’s Day…

Recently, we partnered with the Drury Inn & Suites in Colorado Springs and received a free night in order to have the chance to check things out.  It was an incredible family experience and I highly recommend it for those traveling or looking for a fun weekend activity with the kiddos. As much fun as we all had (and we’ll definitely be back as a family) with Valentine’s Day already on my mind, I couldn’t help but think of how awesome the Drury Inn & Suites would be for a romantic weekend. Here are 3 reasons I think you should book the Drury Inn & Suites for your Colorado Springs Valentine’s Day or next romantic escape.

1. Location

They say location is everything in real estate, right? Well, the Drury Inn & Suites location gives access to delicious dining and fun entertainment and activities all within walking distance. Sure, you could make the short drive instead, but on a weekend of fun, it’s nice to have the option to not need a designated driver.

Dining

Both Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and Colorado Mountain Brewery are located within walking distance to the Drury Inn & Suites. There are also fast options like Jersey Mike’s Subs or Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.

Entertainment

Also within walking distance you will find a Regal Cinemas and The Summit Interquest – a bowling alley also featuring an arcade and laser tag with a restaurant and full-service bar.

2. Room & Suite Options

The Drury Inn & Suites has several room options, but we really like their suites. The spacious two-room suites are bigger than most apartments I’ve lived in and offer a separate bedroom from living space. While this was extra handy with the whole family, it also offers the ability to curl up on the couch together and watch a movie. Each suite also offers an in-room microwave and mini-fridge perfect for popcorn, late night snacks and drinks.

3. Extras

One of Drury’s tag lines is that the extra’s aren’t extra, and this is so true! They offer so much to their Guest’s and yet their rates are still incredibly affordable. Here’s what you get with a stay at the Drury Inn & Suites in Colorado Springs:

5:30 Kick Back: From 5:30 pm – 7 pm every night they host a complimentary “cocktail hour” complete with appetizers and drinks. There is a plethora of food and as Guests 21+, we were each given 3 complimentary cocktails, beer or wine.

Complimentary Soft Drinks & Popcorn: From 3 pm – 10 pm you can stop by the lobby for unlimited soft drinks and fresh popped popcorn.

Free Hot Breakfast: We aren’t talking about the normal “hot breakfast” from most hotel chains including rubbery, luke-warm eggs and warmed pastries. This hot breakfast has a waffle station, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, oatmeal, bagels, cereal and more. 6 am – 9:30 am on the weekdays and 7 am – 10 am on the weekends. It’s definitely worth getting up for.

Amenities: Along with these incredible “extras” the Drury Inn & Suites has an awesome indoor/outdoor pool and a large hot tub. It’s pretty awesome to be swimming in the outdoor part of the heated pool while snowflakes kiss your nose. They also have a fitness center and a small shop filled with snacks, drinks and items you may have forgotten or need.

So why do I think these three reasons make for an amazing and romantic escape? With the 5:30 Kick Back you are given complimentary appetizers and drinks. It’s a wonderful way to start the evening and with their location, you can easily walk to a nice dinner afterwards. Once you enjoy dinner, you can walk back to the hotel or head out for a movie or bowling, returning to the hotel for a relaxing soak or swim. You can even grab popcorn and drinks from the lobby and head back to your room. In the morning you or your significant other can grab breakfast and surprise your loved one with breakfast in bed. The possible relaxing and romantic itineraries for your stay are endless. So, if you haven’t arranged plans just yet, what are you waiting for? And if you happen to book the Drury Inn & Suites in Colorado Springs, make sure you tell them we sent you!

You’ll also find several special activities for your Colorado Springs Valentine’s Day on the Colorado Springs Visitors Bureau website.
