Really? It is hard to believe that Jen from Jenerally Informed and Celeste from Leapfrog and Lipgloss are already on their 32nd Mommy Reality challenge! Congrats gals! It seems like only yesterday I won the 23rd challenge about “What Mommy Eats for Breakfast.”
Yep, those were my lovely sandwich scraps and now it’s Spring Break and I am lost! What do I eat? I then co-hosted the lovely challenge about what we all desperately wanted/needed for Christmas. In this challenge I couldn’t believe I was actually hoping for…an iron. Haha. Oh goodness, but I was thrilled to receive this beauty come Christmas morning!
Since then, I have participated in a few #MommyReality challenges, not nearly as many as I would have liked, but here we are on the 32nd! Remember, these posts are interactive! Share, comment and join in on the fun!
For this challenge, Jen and Celeste ask us to share something broken around the house. Well, being Spring Break and all, I originally thought me! Mommy is broken, she doesn’t want to work anymore. Haha! And although I do miss taking a shower without being interrupted a gazillion times and the silence of nap time, I really do enjoy having all of the kiddos home.
So, I thought of my car tire. It doesn’t look too bad in this photo, but there is a pretty good leak and every other day I have to fill it with air before I can go anywhere. It has been like this for months now and I have no reason for not putting the spare on or taking it to get fixed. It has just grown to be the norm. I hate it! Why am I doing this to myself? Inevitably, I will be late heading out the door and it will be flat! Ugh! It sure takes the “air out of my day.” Alright, that was bad. Lol!
So, what can you share that is broken or needs some TLC? Join the #MommyReality challenge and have some fun!

Omg… I’m the same way with my tire! It’s seriously every other morning. Why are we doing this to ourselves?!

Haha! It is so funny you, me and Jen have all dealt with this crazy self-inflicted chaos! Hoping I stop procrastinating and put a stop to it soon! Maybe tomorrow! Lol

Hahaha… Maybe tomorrow indeed!!

Or the day after…

This last summer in the middle of the 100+ degree heat I had the same darn thing with my tire, for like 4 months. Filling it up out in the heat every day! Why was I doing that to myself? Probably because going to a repair shop means some smarmy sales guy will tell us we need 4 new tires, because they are ALL bad and won’t stop yammering at us until we agree! Am I right, heck yeah, because that is exactly what happened to me! Good luck my friend, may the force be with you when you finally hit that shop…..

Glad to hear I am not the only one who puts up with this foolishness. Luckily, we have a compressor in our garage, but it is still no fun when you’re in a hurry. I’ll let you know how it goes when I finally get it fixed.

I had the same thing with an old car of mine for so long! I tend to do that with everything though . . . why do today what you can put off till tomorrow . . .

It is so funny to hear how many others deal with this same problem! It sounds like tire companies should be marketing to Mom Bloggers!

Oh, bless your heart. That would drive me NUTS-mostly because I don’t have a clue how to put air in a tire. ;P
Lauren
Oh dear! I am very grateful to know at least the basics of taking care of my car. Otherwise, I would really be in a bind!

I love these Mommy Reality challenges! It is so easy to look at someone else’s life and think they have it all together. In reality we are just different shades of crazy.
Take care of that tire!
Lauren
Haha, thank you Patty! It is nice to know I look put together on the outside. You’re right! These challenges are great fun and I love being a part of them.
