2-weeks ago I shared about my desire to increase my health, lose a few pounds and boost my energy levels. So, what was I able to accomplish in two-weeks? I think you’ll be as surprised as I was!
To achieve these goals, I shared my first of a series of four posts about deciding to jump at the chance to review and try Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion.
Starting this journey wasn’t just about a slimmer figure. I want to change my diet and eating habits so that I have the energy to feel great while climbing our stunning Colorado 14ers (mountains that summit more than 14,000 feet) with the family or going for a run and actually keeping up with my teen. These goals start with a proper diet and I knew to be successful I needed something I could stick with. Something where both my brain and stomach agreed with the new plan.
After the first couple of days, I really didn’t feel hungry. After dessert most nights, I wasn’t even ready for the late night snack, but I knew I needed it to stay on track. I was able to enjoy delicious meals, fresh berries and even chocolate, so it was easy to stay on track!
When asking Joel, “How difficult is the Always Eat After 7 PM plan to follow?” He answers, “It’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7PM works because it caters to our bodies natural instincts.” It’s true!
I also wondered, “You’ve written 6 best selling books. What makes this one different compared to the others?” Joel’s answer mirrors the above, “Although many of the concepts are similar, the biggest difference is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods. You don’t have to deal with the burden of eating every few hours. And you don’t have to skip the carbs at dinnertime or avoid eating before bed.”
With the Always Eat After 7PM plan I eat a surprisingly filling dinner and then enjoy a bed-time snack. It surprised me to find out that “Late-night eating also curbs calorie intake the next day. In a four-week study, dieters added a snack to their daily regimen 90 minutes after dinner every night, and check this out: late-night eaters ate an average of 397 fewer calories per day.” I go to bed with a full belly and feel good about it!
Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.
So how did my 2-week “Acceleration Phase” go? I am surprised and pleased to say I feel great and I lost 7 pounds! Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance. Although it’s an easy diet to follow, it really feels good to see and feel the progress.
