2020 Mazda 3 Review

June 29, 2020 By //  by Lauren Leave a Comment

With everything going on in the world, there is no doubt that road trips are most people’s preferred summer travel method this year. It may be time to plan more than just a fun route though. Will your wheels make it mile after mile, or is it time for an upgrade?

With that in mind, I decided to do a little research and review a few of the best options for your summer driving adventures. Check out the first of the series with this 2020 Mazda 3 review.

Info. & Specs.

For this review we had the 2020 Mazda Mazda3 Sedan Premium Package . The outside of our review model was machine grey metallic and the inside was white leather–a very stunning combination. The Mazda 3 featured 18-inch alloy wheels and under the hood it has a Skyactive-G 2.5L 4-cylinder engine offering 186 horsepower. The 2020 Mazda3 is estimated to average about 28mpg –getting around 25mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway.

Safety

On the top of every parent’s mind is safety. Our 2020 Mazda 3 offered AWD, perfect for our crazy Colorado weather.

The premium package also offers:

  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Driver Attention Alert
  • Lane Departure Warning System
  • Lane Keep Assist

In fact those last two are actually standard in all Mazda 3 models as part of the i-Activsense system that also includes adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking and automatic high-beams. The 2020 Mazda 3 also earned a 5-star crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Room & Ride

Mazda sticks with their signature design that is visually stunning, functional and very comfortable. The 2020 Mazda 3 offers ample seating room and an incredibly smooth and quiet ride. We were also very impressed with the size of the cargo space available in the trunk.

Overall

Overall the 2020 Mazda 3 is a wonderful sedan option that is fun to drive, offers confidence in safety and has plenty of room for a small family. There’s a reason it is the 2020 World Car Design of the year.

Keep an eye out for more 2020 model reviews heading to the blog soon. In the mean time you can read more of my car reviews like this one about the 2019 Mazda CX-9.
